Music & Super Light Show all Weekend by DJ Frozen Fresh
A fresh take on deep pocket groove with a penchant for intricate fusion and improv magic. Hailing from the Emerald City, this exciting project features Mike Saskor (guitar), Willow Goodine (Keys), Rob Cochran (Bass) & Chris Martin (Drums).
Hailing from the beating heart of the Evergreen State, Seattle, The High Council explores the boundaries of melody and groove. With a blend of transcendent improvisation and earthy rock sensibilities, THC draws on elements of jazz, reggae, rock and psychedelia. Fronted by guitar gurus Zeke Wakefield and Adrian Moore and riding the rolling thunder of drummer Conor Sisk, keyboardist Ryan Standley and percussionist Jeff Pang.
The boys from Joy In Mudville (featuring members of Deadwood Revival) are Jason Mogi on clawhammer banjo/guitar, Paul Stehr-Green on bass guitar, and Colin Leahy on bodhrán/djembe. They blend layered rhythms and tight harmonies with a touch of jam-band goodness to their mix of old-time, bluegrass, jam-band, rock, funk & blues.
Formed from deep within the Westsound Union, Rippin' Chicken plays a greasy brand of funky, bugaloo and soul jazz, executed with creative ease by 3 funky brothers from different mothers who LOVE to play together. After performing and recording together for the better part of a decade in groups such as, The Funk Revolution, The Lucky Mystery Now Orchestra, and The Bucks (all under the direction of the great Lucky Brown), Rippin' Chicken presents this power-house rhythm section as the center of attention, playing the music they wanna, in a style that is all their own. "A soul-food Organ trio gone Rippin"
Original hard-driving, modern afro-beat and syncopated, horn-driven funk. That is the recipe that Polyrhythmics have crafted and delivered to packed clubs, and festival crowds throughout the west coast in the past 3 years. The 8 members of this dynamic world-beat orchestra, weave a clever web of deep, hypnotic grooves, creative, yet melodic interplay, clever horn-hooks, and searing solos that ignite every dance-floor that has laid before them.Original hard-driving, modern afro-beat and syncopated, horn-driven funk. Lucky Brown is the name of an archetype conceived by composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Joel Ricci. Assisted by The Funk Revolution, Ricci's project conjures a funk symbol from the past to bring to life real, authentic, earthy human emotion. Gritty modern funk with an impeccably dusty vibe....dancing is a must!
